French Trade Unions Announce Massive Strike for Tuesday, October 18

ER Editor: While anyone with half a brain wouldn’t trust French unions as far as they could throw them, there is a sense of ‘at last!’ in this announcement. Particular pay claims on behalf of energy workers IN JOBS (there are healthcare workers who still can’t work and can’t get unemployment insurance) may get drowned out in the immense sense of relief in bringing this disgusting government down. France has had the Gilets Jaunes movement since 2018; the Covid plandemic / tyranny / lies since early 2020; arming a losing side in Ukraine against a shrewd nuclear power; energy mismanagement, along with revelations that the US is pushing EU into the toilet through its 8th round of pointless sanctions. The list goes on. People sorely need a reason to protest. Funnily enough, they haven’t done that already.

This French site infolibertaire sums it up nicely:

Since the strike movement in the French refineries has gained momentum, it is the snowball effect. The media and the government have done everything to defame the strike and make it unpopular: they have only amplified the rage. Millions of people in France are no longer able to get by, between inflation, precarious and poorly paid jobs, and the breaking up of minimum social benefits. The anger has been general for a long time. But the spark was missing.

For now, it is the snowball effect in the world of work …

Again, we trust nothing about the unions and fully suspect that the government is behind this, appearing to oppose the unions but being a beneficiary in bringing the country faster to its knees that the globalists want. The unions are massively subsidized by the French govt. We recommend this smart analysis by Eric Verhaeghe, who suspects the Globalist hand in gas & energy problems:

This Official Document Proves That French Fuel and Electricity Shortages Are Programmed

Nonetheless, people need to get off their backsides and vent for whatever reason (like finding out they got multiply injected based on a fearmongering lie) …

France has been a nation largely asleep. Up til now.

And we still persist in our impression that we’re watching a movie …

French Trade Unions Announce Massive Strike on October 18

Samizdat – 13.10.2022

PARIS – The leading French trade unions will hold a nationwide strike on October 18, demanding higher wages and protesting against the government’s attempts to force striking energy sector employees to go back to work, the unions said on Thursday.

“We call on employees to demonstrate for higher wages and protection of the right to organize strikes,” the unions said in a statement, aired by the Franceinfo broadcaster.

According to the statement, the planned strike is a response to government interference in the social movement of oil sector employees and encroachment on the right to strike.

The strike will be held at the call of the General Confederation of Labor, Force Ouvriere, the Federation Syndicale Unitaire and the Solidaires labor union. French transport unions, including national rail operator SNCF and youth organizations will also join in.

The industrial action by energy sector employees has been ongoing in France since September 21, when ExxonMobil employees went on strike. They were joined on September 27 by workers of French energy company TotalEnergies. Last Tuesday, trade unions announced a three-day protest demanding a 10% pay increase as well as the indexation of 2022 wages to match the current record-breaking inflation. The strike led to a shortage of fuel at every third gas station in the country (ER: Far more if you live in Paris). The government forcibly returned the personnel of oil storage facilities to work in the city of Dunkirk and in a commune of Port-Jerome-sur-Seine in northern France.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
