The Yellow Vests Are Back, Facing Down Tyranny

ER Editor: Gilets Jaunes activity has sprung up again over the weekend in France. Here we’re offering a sampling of bits and pieces.

The tyranny governing social life and social interaction is ramping up. We’re heading into a 3rd, entirely unnecessary lockdown on February 5 for two weeks. There’s even talk of banning talking on cell phones on public transport and merely talking to other people (masks are still required by the way). It’s clear this isn’t about a virus. See this RT report:

The French National Academy of Medicine has urged people to quit the chatter on packed buses and trains, where social distancing is impossible. The country’s health minister earlier asked everyone to wear better quality masks.

“The compulsory mask-wearing on public transport, where physical distance cannot be respected, must be paired with a very simple precaution: avoid talking and making phone calls,” the Academy said in a statement.

“I will not confine myself” is trending on twitter: https://twitter.com/hashtag/JeNeMeConfineraiPas?src=hashtag_click

The Facebook group, Le Nombre Jaune – Le Groupe, has a number of postings showing activity from around the country yesterday. It’s now Acte 115:

French singer Francis Lalanne is even calling on the army to overthrow the government in an article “calling for the general mobilization of the French people against tyranny”. The state of health emergency is even being prolonged until the end of 2021, giving the government special powers for another 11 months.

As the RT story title shows below, Saturday’s protests in Paris, attended by Yellow Vests and union groups among others, were against a variety of things, including the law which prevents police being filmed in the execution of their jobs. That law has to go through a Senate reading in March. But the protests extend to mass lay-offs and economic insecurity as money is being dished out to corporations, as well as threats to people’s liberties. In the short video below, one of the leaders of the Gilets Jaunes historically, Jerome Rodrigues, returns back to the original protest idea of their group, of having secure employment and enough money in their pockets to live, as well as the recent health decrees which are killing freedom in the country.

The Yellow Vests Are Meeting at the Roundabout of the Righteous

The Journal of Gers

Saturday, January 23rd from 10 am to 5 pm, the Gilets Jaunes are organizing a rally at the Righteous Roundabout, which has been approved by the prefecture. For this first demonstration of the year 2021 they remind us on Facebook of their cause:

“A mobilization for a participative democracy, the safeguard of our liberties, a better distribution of wealth, the fight against corruption, that justice be master, a place for all in our society… We are not giving up”.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
