Former PM Scott Morrison and South Australia’s Steven Marshall retire from politics

ER Editor: More key Aussie politicians stepping down for no good reason. Hmmm.

A reminder that Victoria state’s notorious Dan Andrews ‘stepped down’ for no apparent reason in late September.  See —

Victoria’s Notorious Dan Andrews steps down amid rejoicing

New South Wales premier Gladys Berejiklian went back in October of 2021, around the time of Austrian wunderkind chancellor Sebastian Kurz, both for relatively minor infractions in the world of politics. Which is mightily curious.

We missed this, but Northern Territories’ nutjob Premier, a zealot if ever there was one, Michael Gunner, also stepped down for no apparent reason back in May of 2022. See Northern Territory chief minister Michael Gunner resigns, saying ‘head and heart’ no longer in job

Western Australia premier Mark McGowan also stepped down in May of this year citing exhaustion. See Mark McGowan stands down as WA premier in shock announcement, citing exhaustion

That leaves South Australia. Their pandemic premier, Steven Marshalllost an election in March of 2022.

The only remaining pandemic premier according to The Guardian below is that of the Australian Capital Territories (ACT), Andrew Barr, covering the country’s capital, Canberra. No surprises there. He must be feeling the heat. See — ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr declares he is “energised and ready to go” for 2024

So we can cross off Steven Marshall, adding Scott Morrison to the list of weird step-downs. That leaves ACT’s Andrew Barr. Do we actually KNOW where any of these people are? In Morrison’s case, there is a rumour of being a convicted pedophile, stated by white hat-affiliated commentator, Riccardo Bosi. It is mightily curious that Morrison says that ‘there are things people will “need to forgive” him for’. (See this video of witness testimony of Adrian Wells, mentioning Morrison frequently. This of course is proof of nothing so far. And see this more generally about Satanic pedophilia in Australia. Again, proof of nothing yet.) We recommend searching this topic on Yandex.

Steven Marshall to resign from parliament

REBECCA MASTERS for 9NEWS

Former South Australian premier Steven Marshall has announced he will retire from parliament.

Marshall served as Premier throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, from 2018 until 2022, when his government was defeated at the state election. He moved to the backbench following the defeat and was replaced by David Speirs as Opposition Leader.
.
“It’s been a pleasure to serve the people of South Australia,” Marshall told reporters this morning. “I have many very happy memories of my time, lots of highs, lots of lows, but most importantly a privilege to serve the people of South Australia, and most particularly the people of Dunstan here.
.
“I’ve made a decision that it is now time for me to make way for new and fresh ideas serving the people of Dunstan in the South Australian parliament.”
.
Marshall said he would not formally resign for several months to allow the Liberal party to pre-select a candidate for the upcoming by-election.

The Australian has confirmed that Scott Morrison will quit politics at the end of February to join a string of global strategic advising firms.

Former prime minister Scott Morrison says there are things people will “need to forgive” him for after calling an end to his 16 years in parliament. (ER: Really?)

Mr Morrison, who served as the 30th prime minister of Australia between 2018 and 2022, resigned from parliament on Tuesday, ending two years of speculation over the end of his political career.

His time in the nation’s top position earned him a reputation as one of the most controversial prime ministers in Australian history, something he briefly reflected on with Sky News’ Paul Murray.

“I’m sure there’s things that people will need to forgive me for and I’ll forgive them. You just don’t carry these things around with you. You look forward,” he said.

He then quoted former US president Theodore Roosevelt, who Mr Morrison described as a “hero” for him.

“He used to talk about – I’m one of those ones who was on the field, who has known victory and defeat, not one of those timid souls who have known neither, and just looks on from the outside,” he said.

Mr Morrison said he would leave politics at the end of February, setting up a by-election a year out from the next federal election.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
