The action by French agricultural workers follows similar protests in Germany, the Netherlands, Poland and Romania

Farmers blocked roads with tractors and trucks in several parts of France on Monday, continuing protests that they started last week, local media has reported.

The agricultural workers dumped rocks and gravel to make highway exits inaccessible near the city of Perpignan in the southwest of the country. Roads leading to the Golfech nuclear plant north of Toulouse were also shut down. The operator of the plant said it kept producing electricity despite the actions of the demonstrators.

The farmers said they had launched their protest due to high taxes on tractor fuel, cheap imports, price pressure from retailers, a shortage of water, and excessive red tape on both the national and EU levels.

The action by French farmers follows similar demonstrations by their German, Dutch, Polish and Romanian counterparts. Germany has seen the largest protests, which have decried not only EU regulations, but also a decision by Berlin to slash diesel subsidies worth €480 million ($520 million) for the sector. The government announced the move shortly after it said German support for Ukraine would double to €8 billion in 2024. The farmers have been blocking roads in the capital and elsewhere across the country since December, which have so far persuaded Berlin to make the cuts to subsidies gradual.

The French government has been promising to introduce a law that would support farmers for months. However, on Sunday, it said the legislation would be postponed for at least several weeks as it needed further improvement.

New French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal and Arnaud Rousseau, the head of France’s largest farm union, FNSEA, held a meeting on Monday to discuss the situation.

“We told him [Attal] we wouldn’t settle for words,” Rousseau told the journalists after the talks. “We told [him] that, to build confidence, he needed to go into the field. He committed to meeting farmers in the field in the coming days.”

In a separate interview with France Inter radio, the FNSEA chief vowed that the farmers would not stop protesting until they achieved their goals. “During the whole week and for as long as necessary, a certain number of actions will be organized,” Rousseau stressed.

Politico reported last week, citing an unnamed French government minister, that President Emmanuel Macron had been “shaken” by the protests in rural areas. According to the outlet, the French leader is concerned that Marine Le Pen’s right-wing National Rally could take advantage of the crisis to steal votes from his Renaissance party in the European Parliament election in June.

    En poussant ainsi Ă  bout ses chiens policiers, je suppose que le « gouvernement » a l’intention de les mettre H.S. et a dĂ©jĂ  prĂ©vu que des milices Ă©trangĂšres Ă  la police et Ă©trangĂšres Ă  notre pays seront recrutĂ©es pour Ă©craser la population.

    Je reposte mon commentaire d’hier au sujet du « grand Ă©vĂ©nement historique » et « cataclysmique » :

    ===Si on regarde de plus loin on s’aperçoit que l’organisation des improbables « J.O. » pourraient aussi n’ĂȘtre qu’un COVER-UP pour le dĂ©ploiement d’une nouvelle PLANDĂ©MIE, plus efficace que la prĂ©cĂ©dente avec l’installation de MOYENS DE RÉPRESSION jamais vus.===

    Une plandémie pourrait venir opportunément remplacer les « J.O. » au dernier moment.
    Par cette approche, les organisateurs Ă©viteraient de susciter la mĂ©fiance Ă  l’avance, bĂ©nĂ©ficieraient de l’effet de surprise et pourraient se prĂ©tendre totalement innocents le moment venu.
    Mais justement, le gigantisme des moyens de contrÎle prévus est ce qui suscite la méfiance.

    Remplacez « J.O. » par « nouvelle urgence sanitaire » dans les discours des flics collabos et tout reste cohérent.

    Scorpion consiste Ă  la mise au point d’un commandement numĂ©rique unique basĂ© sur une interface commune qui permet aux soldats dĂ©ployĂ©s sur le terrain, mais aussi aux outils militaires nouveaux, comme les drones et les robots, d’ĂȘtre connectĂ©s simultanĂ©ment et d’anticiper ainsi les rĂ©actions de l’ennemi.

    « L’idĂ©e centrale de Scorpion (explique une ingĂ©nieure qui souhaite garder l’anonymat) c’est la guerre sans bruit, et si possible d’éviter la guerre du sang, c’est-Ă -dire d’avoir le moins possible de soldats tuĂ©s. Scorpion organise l’interopĂ©rabilitĂ© entre un char, un bateau, une moto, un drone, un robot, un soldat au sol. »

    « IsraĂ«l a pris une longueur d’avance sur trois points-clĂ©s :

    Mais ce n’est pas tout.

    IAE, ou Israel Aerospace Industries, qualifie Scorpion d’arme conventionnelle suprĂȘme, parce qu’elle sait tout faire :
    – dĂ©busquer tous les appareils dans le ciel
    – discerner les amis des ennemis
    – neutraliser les capacitĂ©s nuisibles des ennemis puis les anĂ©antir
    Tout ceci, sans que soit tiré un seul obus ou missile, grùce cette fois-ci à un faisceau électromagnétique.

    Scorpion est donc un programme trĂšs important, auquel participent tous les grands industriels français de l’armement, mais aussi l’IsraĂ©lien Elbit, qui a acquis une grande expĂ©rience dans les systĂšmes autonomes ».

    Scorpion est si important pour l’industrie de dĂ©fense française qu’au-delĂ  de l’armĂ©e de terre et la Belgique son client de lancement, le programme vise l’export. Il n’est donc pas surprenant d’apprendre que le premier acheteur de Scorpion est Abou Dhabi. Les Émirats arabes unis sont de longue date de trĂšs bons clients pour les armements français et aussi, plus rĂ©cemment, des amis d’IsraĂ«l.

    Or, l’opĂ©rationnel de Scorpion passe totalement sous les radars. L’opacitĂ© mondiale du marchĂ© de la cybersĂ©curitĂ©, dans lequel IsraĂ«l est un acteur majeur, ne permet pas d’avoir la moindre idĂ©e des volumes de vente. « Les partenariats militaires et sĂ©curitaires ne rentrent pas dans les statistiques officielles ».

    Or, c’est un marchĂ© Ă©norme, oĂč « la France doit progresser sur la question des guerres urbaines, en particulier en Afrique, oĂč les hĂ©licoptĂšres sont des solutions Ă  la fois coĂ»teuses et trop bruyantes. »

    « Ce qui fonde nos partenariats avec IsraĂ«l, c’est toutes ces inventions, simples, venues des meilleurs ingĂ©nieurs, qui ont acquis leur savoir-faire dans le contrĂŽle et la rĂ©pression dans les territoires palestiniens et Ă  Gaza ».

    Donc une expertise testée puis acquise sur le dos de milliers de morts en Palestine.
