It gives the leaving country two years to negotiate an exit deal and once it’s set in motion it can’t be stopped except by unanimous consent of all member states.’ Article 50 was triggered last spring, in 2017, 9 months after the original Brexit vote.

Farage warns: Expect huge establishment campaign to suspend Article 50

Nigel Farage has predicted a huge attempt to keep Britain in the EU by the establishment, with a campaign to suspend Article 50 coming this autumn.
Farage’s shocking prediction came on LBC last night, he said: “That is my prediction, that come the autumn, we will make yet more concessions. We will be humiliated further. There will be a massive 
establishment attempt to say time has now run out, which suits Barnier beautifully.”
“They’ll say we can’t do anything before March 29th, it is technically impossible so we must suspend Article 50.
“There will then be a huge campaign in autumn to achieve this.”
The former UKIP Leader’s dire warning comes as Liam Fox, the International Trade Secretary, claimed a No Deal Brexit is more likely than not and that it is the EU pushing us in that direction.
The so-called ‘People’s Vote’ campaign demands a second referendum to keep Britain in the EU, and has the support of Remoaner MPs, including Tory MP Sarah Wollaston who joined just last week.
If Farage is right this will be a total betrayal of the British people.
