About 100 convoy trucks in downtown Ottawa have children living inside: police
Ottawa police say about a quarter of vehicles parked in downtown Ottawa as part of the trucker protests have children living in them, and authorities are worried for their safety.
Deputy Chief Steve Bell told reporters Tuesday that 25 per cent of the more than 400 trucks occupying the downtown core have children living inside.
“It’s something that greatly concerns us,” he said. “From the risk of carbon monoxide and fumes, the noise levels … we’re concerned about cold, we’re concerned about access to sanitation, the ability to shower.”
Bell said it’s something police need to address, and they’re having discussions with the Children’s Aid Society about what steps to take.

BREAKING: Ontario judge attempts to freeze Freedom Convoy donations on another crowdfunding site

However, GiveSendGo responded Thursday night with a statement that said, “Canada has absolutely ZERO jurisdiction over how we manage our funds here at GiveSendGo. All funds for EVERY campaign on GiveSendGo flow directly to the recipients of those campaigns, not least of which is The Freedom Convoy campaign. Thanks for your concern but this recipient is receiving funds.”

According to a statement by Premier Doug Ford’s office on Thursday, Attorney General Doug Downey brought the application for the order under section 490.8 of the Criminal Code of Canada, which allows for “a restraint order in respect of any offence-related property.”
Ivana Yelich, spokesperson for the premier, explained that the order from the court “binds any and all parties with possession or control over these donations,” including the “Freedom Convoy 2022” fundraising page and the “Adopt-a-Trucker” fundraising page.
Since the Freedom Convoy arrived in Ottawa nearly two weeks ago, Ford, who leads the province of Ontario as a “conservative,” has denounced the group and insisted the protesters need to leave and “let the people of Ottawa live their lives.”
Ford’s statements claiming that the protesters are impeding the lives of citizens and their businesses drew criticism as Ford himself has forcibly shut down Ontario businesses for weeks at a time through continuous lockdowns. Moreover, Ford has consistently used the heavy hand of government on law-abiding citizens during the “pandemic” by imposing draconian measures such as vaccine passports, capacity limits on gatherings in private homes, mandatory mask wearing indoors, and social distancing.
Since the convoy’s arrival in Ottawa nearly two weeks ago, the federal Conservative Party has ousted their pro-mandate leader and taken a decidedly anti-mandate stance. Meanwhile, the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan have both started to remove all COVID restrictions, and even the highly authoritarian province of Quebec decided to drop its controversial plan to tax the vaccine-free.
Despite restrictions continuing to be imposed on Ontarians, a growing body of data has indicated that vaccine mandates and passports have been a failed strategy for tackling COVID, and a recent poll from reputable pollster Angus Reid found that 54 percent of Canadians say it’s time to “remove restrictions and let Canadians manage their own level of risk.”

SECRET RECORDING: Ontario Premier Doug Ford will announce tomorrow he’s ‘pulling these passports’
The dramatic about-face from Ford comes as thousands of truckers across Canada have engaged in peaceful protests, including blocking the Ambassador Bridge between Detroit and Windsor.

Doug Ford, the embattled Ontario premier, telephoned supporters on Thursday letting them know that on Friday he will announce that he is abandoning the province’s vaccine passport scheme, and that he will provide more details on Monday.
One supporter recorded the call which was provided to Rebel News.
Ford starts his call by saying he had received “about 250 [messages] as of lunch today” asking him to scrap the passport.
“We’re pulling these passports. We’re going to get back to normal. I can’t get you the exact date, but it’s going to be very soon. I’ll be speaking over the next few days. Friday I’m going to put out a statement. Monday I’ll be giving some dates. And we’re going to move forward.”

Well, my opinion. The truckers may not be as important on a global scale. Country after country is revoking all covid-measures. All people have to do is point to other states/countries where apparently covid-19 is over. It’s a matter of time for even the most tyrannical government to face the reality of this fact.
Of course, as a symbol I fully support the truckers as a bottom-up organisation. They are a symbol of hope. Canada has been one of the countries that felt the boot of tyranny especially hard. It’s so important for Canadians to see that hope.
Whether the organisation really gets taken over by political powers or not, matters only on the short term, but I believe freedom already won. Trudeau can only try to contain it, but it didn’t work under the guise of a deadly disease, what more can he do? A gun can not bring the same amount of fear, as the gun is always held by a visible person.
Polly raises great points on the political powers taking over. Whether she is right only time can tell, but personally I trust her judgement. That’s not an answer, but all I have right now.

You want to support this critical movement but at the same time, THEY need to deal with their dirty laundry themselves and more quietly. Tough.
I hadn’t seen that particular video from AmazingPolly yet, but will do so. AmazingPolly really is Amazing, she does incredible deepdives into topics, and shows how civilian journalism can work really well with the help of public internet sources. It’s a type of journalism that we may see more in the future when the mainstream media starts to collapse.

In the end the 3 government backed stooges did not show up. I’d like to leave the registration of the event that still took place. Without the 3 government doctors, but their time will come that they will have to defend themselves, and that time is approaching rapidly.
