Berlin: Despite the onset of winter, the left votes to evict unvaccinated homeless people from the underground platforms

Despite the winter, the Berlin left has decided that there can be no exceptions to the rule: the homeless who used to take refuge in the underground (ER: metro) to keep warm will no longer be able to do so unless they are vaccinated, cured of COVID or tested.
COVID-19 has definitely shattered the fragile veneer of humanity that characterises our civilisation.
It was one of several headlines in the world press on Wednesday 8 December: the Berlin Senate has introduced the so-called 3G system (“vaccinated, cured or tested”) in the city’s underground. It will no longer be possible to stand on a platform without a health pass.
When questioned, the senators said they regretted that this would also affect the poorest people, those who have no roof over their heads and who, as winter approaches, take refuge in the metro. It is not possible to make an exception.
The fact that the city’s social services explain that they are taking the situation very seriously and will do everything possible to ensure that the “homeless” can benefit from reception areas and be vaccinated does not change the reality: a government alliance comprising the Social Democrats, the Greens and the Left is expelling the poorest from one of the few places where they could find shelter.
For the record, nearly 19% of Germans live below the poverty line, set at 1,074 euros by the country’s statistical office.
The fragile veneer of humanity
The behaviour of the left-wing majority in Berlin is undoubtedly part of the overall picture of the political, ethical and spiritual collapse of Western nations. Since the beginning of the epidemic, we have been able to measure the degree of corruption of our leaders, the blindness of the Catholic episcopal hierarchy, the disappearance of scientific deontology in medical journals that have constantly discredited treatments other than vaccines, the mask imposed on schools (I know of nothing more ignoble on the subject than an article like this one) and the push for the vaccination of children.
Contrary to what superficial minds believe, the Principles of Law on which democracy is based are not played with impunity. Beneath the law, beneath the politics, there must be those unwritten laws, as Antigone says, and the objective ethical reality that underpins humanity.
A society that expels its homeless from the metro on the pretext of protecting itself from a disease that has claimed no more than 2% of the world’s victims of the Spanish flu is a society whose frameworks are ready to collapse.
In any case, the Berlin left has lost all political and moral credibility.
