Norway establishes diplomatic ties with State of Palestine amid Israel’s Gaza genocide
PRESSTV
Norway has formally accepted the credentials of the new Palestinian ambassador, Marie Sedin as it officially establishes diplomatic relations with Palestine amid the ongoing Israeli genocidal war on Gaza.
The Palestinian envoy presented her credentials to King Harald of Norway in an event held at the Royal Palace in Oslo on Thursday.
The decision by the Nordic kingdom will establish a diplomatic mission for Palestine in Norway, while it also represents an important gesture of goodwill between the two nations.

Thirteen European states, including Norway, have formally recognized the State of Palestine as a sovereign state. Besides, 148 out of 193 UN member states have also formally recognized Palestine.
Norway officially recognized Palestine as a state last year, as the Israeli regime intensified the massacre of Palestinians in Gaza.
Norway had in the past announced its stance regarding the matter, stating that Palestinians have the right to independence and self-determination.
Israel is currently facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice over its ongoing genocidal war.
The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for the regime’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former war minister Yoav Gallant, citing war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza.
Norway became the first European country to publicly announce that it would arrest the mentioned individuals, should they enter the Nordic country.
Ties between Oslo and Tel Aviv have been deteriorating ever since Norway formally recognized Palestine in May last year.
Later in August, Israel revoked the diplomatic status of eight Norwegian diplomats who had been working in Norway’s Representative Office in al-Ram, Palestine.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
