ER Editor: The Politico.eu piece below puts the ‘exodus’ of Tory MPs at 79, including Gove, the most recent to announce he won’t run again. The Institute for Government site puts the total number at 77 if you include Gove. We’re not sure who the extra 2 MPs are, unless they are Independents originally elected as Tories.
Gove is a pretty big fish. The election is almost six weeks away; there is time for more to quit.

The Times and BBC articles above play dumb. Sir Jeffrey Donaldson, for example, is quitting because he was arrested quite probably for historical sex crimes; his mentor was pedophile Enoch Powell. We wonder what the real exposes around some of these politicians will be going forward.
