And of 21 inpatients dead and dozens positive for Covid, including elderly and health workers, the tragic balance in a nursing home in Rebbio, near Como. The RSA, which had joined the vaccination campaign, is located in Via Varesina and is part, along with three other facilities (two RSAs and a house hotel), of the Foundation Ca ‘d’Industria.
At the moment, wrote “Fanpage.it” for January 20, the deaths have increased to 21, while the infected are 85 out of 93 people housed overall, more than 91 percent of the guests. 54 of the health workers remained positive for Covid.
To say that 90 percent of health workers and almost all guests had received the first dose of the vaccine was the president of the Foundation Gianmarco Beccalli, who told Fanpage that the vaccination in the RSA “should end, with the second dose, by February 6”. So, it means that the first dose of vaccine, presumably the “Comirnaty” of Pfizer, was administered as per protocol over the last two or three weeks, calculating the twenty-one days after the first injection.
President Beccalli states verbatim to Fanpage: “If there are no delays in the supply, we should end up with the administration of the second dose on February 6,” says the president, who points out that almost 90 percent of the staff has adhered to the vaccination campaign and that almost all the guests have been vaccinated. “I hope that later on, even those who have not been vaccinated among the staff, which are basically those who were not at work, will want to do so. While among the guests we are waiting for the currently positive ones to heal, which as per the indications will be vaccinated after the disease.”
What happened in the nursing home of Rebbio for the president of the Foundation remains however “inexplicable: we have forbidden hugs in the rooms, no one except the employees could enter the structure, and moreover we have followed the same protocols of our other structures, and there nothing happened”, Beccalli explains.
Whether the deaths of these poor elderly people are directly related to the vaccine is up to the judiciary to determine, which one imagines wants to see clear by opening an investigation. As Beccalli said, however, remains a truly inexplicable fact.
Another 40 infected and 4 dead in an RSA at Grottaferrata
Meanwhile, today is the news of a Covid outbreak discovered in recent days in a nursing home in Grottaferrata, near Rome. About forty people were infected, four of whom, according to some media reports, died.
Everything started from a first confirmed case that triggered, on January 14, the sweeping controls in the facility with tests on guests and operators. About ten operators and thirty guests tested positive. No one is talking about it, but it is highly probable that in the RSA vaccines were administered.
