France: Wearing Masks will be “Systematised” in Companies by End of August

ER Editor: We also ran into this RT France report from 3 days ago about masks containing RFID chips. (Covid-19 : pourquoi certains masques sont-ils équipés d’une puce «RFID»? – COVID-19: why are certain masks equipped with an RFID chip?)

So far, it seems that reusable masks provided by UBI Solutions, creators of track and trace technology, to certain unnamed companies have microchips in them which, harmlessly of course, can be hooked up to an app via a smartphone to indicate how many washings the mask can go through. No, seriously. This company also makes hospital bedsheets equipped in similar fashion. It’s not yet known how many workers are being given this type of mask, according to RT. UBI Solutions appears to be a French company.

We remind readers of a review article by Canada’s Dr. Denis Rancourt, titled Masks Don’t Work: A Review of Science Relevant to COVID-19 Social Policy.

France: the wearing of masks will be “systematised” in companies by the end of August.

RT FRANCE

Labour, Employment and Integration Minister Elisabeth Borne told AFP that the wearing of masks would be “systematised” by the end of August in companies, including in open spaces.

The wearing of masks will be “systematised” by the end of August in “all closed and shared spaces” in companies, Labour Minister Elisabeth Borne told AFP on Tuesday 18 August after a meeting with social partners.

“It is necessary to systematize, as recommended by the High Council of Public Health (HCSP), the wearing of masks in all work spaces that are closed and shared [such as] meeting rooms, corridors, changing rooms, open spaces,” the minister told the agency. She said she was relying on the High Council for Public Health (HCSP), and thus takes into account the risk of spreading Covid-19 by aerosols (fine droplets suspended in the air exhaled by patients). Considered as “personal safety equipment”, the cost of the mask, whether surgical or fabric, is borne by the employer. Previously, it was recommended to wear it in the workplace when it was not technically possible to measure the distance by one metre. (ER: mission creep)

Teleworking is still “recommended in areas where the virus is actively circulating”. In addition, specific measures, to be defined, will be applicable for the accommodation of seasonal workers and slaughterhouses, which were found to be contaminated this summer, Yvan Ricordeau of the CFDT, who attended the meeting, which was held by videoconference, told AFP. “Meetings will begin next week,” he said, expressing satisfaction with the generalization of the wearing of masks in companies. “To support the activity, it is necessary to give safety elements to the employees”, he also assured.

This measure will be included “in the next few days” in a “national protocol to ensure the health and safety of workers during the Covid-19 period”, with a view to implementation by “the end of August”, the minister explained. Depending on health developments and the types of company premises, this measure may be subject to “derogations” after the health authorities have given their opinion. With regard to teleworking, “we are going to stick to today’s rules: teleworking is recommended in areas where the virus is actively circulating”, the minister said. She encouraged the partners to initiate and accelerate negotiations on the subject. “Masks are not everything, we also need to work on the issues of work organisation, teleworking and the reduction of working time”, said Fabrice Angéi, who represented the CGT (ER: major French union, who is entirely complicit with the government) at the meeting.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
