Canadians are leaving the woke provinces while those quitting the country are up

ER Editor: Two report-based articles from The Canadian Independent on recent demographic shifts.

  • The ‘woke’, Covid-tyranny provinces such as BC and Ontario have experienced the most interprovincial flight of their citizens, with Alberta actually gaining. Which is hardly surprising.
  • 74,000 Canadians left the country up to September, 2023, a figure up on previous years; meanwhile, over a million people came into Canada during the same 9-month period. Fourth quarter figures for 2023 haven’t been calculated yet.
  • 96% of population growth in Canada overall is due to international migration.

According to a newly released December 2023 report by Statistics Canada, “All provinces and territories recorded losses in their interprovincial migration exchanges in the third quarter of 2023 except for Alberta.”

The report highlights that Alberta has attracted 10,000 or more citizens to its province for 5 consecutive quarters, with Ontario and British Columbia experiencing the most citizen losses to Alberta.

The report noted that British Columbia has faced five consecutive quarters of interprovincial migration losses not seen since 2013, and Atlantic provinces observed negligible or negative net interprovincial migration.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
