Austria Wants to Have 90% of Its Population Receive a Fourth Booster Shot by the Fall

ER Editor: Our question here is, why on earth would a top-ranking military man make this kind of supposedly public health announcement? Check the video below. You don’t need German to understand the surreal nature of this.

Austrian site Wochenblick.at informs us just yesterday that the so-called ‘Freedom Day’ for Austrians has turned out to be anything but. There had been talk of vaccination no longer being required, but that seems to not only have remained but to be ramped up if the general’s remarks below are anything to go by:

In the early morning, the government media reported about the big “Freedom Day”. The “vaccination obligation” would be suspended and maybe even the FFP2 masks would fall, it said. Hope was high, but everything was called off within a few hours. This has caused widespread confusion. Government Communications: Grotesque. Chancellor Karl Nehammer (ÖVP) and Minister of Health Wolfgang Mückstein (Greens) grudgingly explained in the course of the previously announced press conference why the “obligatory vaccination” is not being canceled after all and why masks and curfews remain. They pushed the high Omikron test numbers as the reason. In truth, however, they probably only realized the consequences of capitulating to the truth at a late stage.

Succinct “loosening” instead of “Freedom Day”

While the pandemic is gradually being declared internationally over, it should continue in Austria. Instead of the announced “Freedom Day”, black and green (ER: the OVP party and the Greens) announced lapidary easing. From next Saturday, previous 2G-restricted activities will also be possible again with a PCR test for uninjected (3G) people. Only from March 5th will the steadfast non-gene treated people be allowed to visit restaurants, hotels and events again without G evidence. There can no longer be any talk of the government media announcing the abolition of the mask requirement and the suspension of compulsory vaccination. All hopes from the morning were suddenly dashed in the course of the press conference.

Media loyal to the government reported on Wednesday morning that the “vaccination obligation” was no longer required:

The Great Surrender postponed

The powerful resistance against the Corona dictatorship has cornered the government. It is not for nothing that the federal government’s communication in the last few days, which has now become completely contradictory, has been about the end of the “pandemic”. Since the big questions about the evidence by the constitutional judge Hauer became known to the general public, the government has been in need of explanations to the broad masses. Even pro-government experts like Norbert Nowotny have to admit that the measures cannot be argued in view of the mild corona (cold) variant…. ÖVP and the Greens are running away from voters and officials in droves, as Wochenblick reportedBut although there is a fire everywhere and the Corona dictatorship is no longer tenable, the government refused to capitulate to the truth and resistance one more time today. The actors in the ÖVP and the Greens seem to want to keep their posts to the bitter end, even if it means the ultimate ruin of their own parties.

Austria wants to have 90% of its population receive a fourth booster shot by the fall

Although Austria will drop most COVID restrictions on March 5, heavy fines will continue to be levied on the unvaccinated.

VIENNA — The Austrian government wants to vaccinate 90% of the country’s population with a fourth COVID jab this fall.

General Rudolf Striedinger, chief of staff for the Austrian secretary of defense and co-leader of the COVID crisis coordination effort, argued for the necessity of a fourth jab at today’s press conference.

“We know that in order to make it through the next fall and winter without issue, we need to achieve a 90% vaccination rate for the whole population,” Striedinger stated.

The general added that thinking of ways “to motivate” the Austrian people to achieve  immunization of 90% of the population by next fall was “a difficult task” and the government will have to consider “various options.”

One option adopted by the Austrian government to “motivate” the population to get vaccinated against COVID-19 was the imposition of a vaccination mandate with fines as high as 3,600 euros ($4,108)  for those who refuse the inoculations.

Speaking first to vaccinated Austrians, Striedinger announced that “all those who are already triple-vaccinated will in all likelihood need a booster shot in September before the arrival of the cold weather.”

Striedinger also addressed the unvaccinated, saying that “all those who are not vaccinated, and who were lucky enough to not come into contact with the virus, will have to start getting immunized now.”

He insisted that unvaccinated Austrians must get their first dose now to give them enough time before September to get the so-called “full-protection” allegedly provided by the four shots of the COVID-19 vaccine. Striedinger said this process will take 6 months. Practically speaking, this would mean one vaccination every two months for people who so far have not received a single dose.

Striedinger’s announcement comes as a Wednesday COVID summit introduced plans to gradually lift almost all of Austria’s COVID restrictions in February and March.

The 3G rule holds that unvaccinated people who have never contracted the coronavirus will again have access to these venues on the condition that they present a negative COVID test upon entering.

After March 5, though, even the 3G rule will be dropped. That day has been coined Austria’s “Freedom Day,” as broader relaxations of COVID rules will come into effect then. There will no longer be either a 2G or a 3G rule in restaurants, shopping centers, and the workplace. The midnight curfew will end.

Some mask mandates will also be abolished on March 5. Wearing an FFP2 mask will no longer be compulsory in all indoors spaces: only in food retail stores, pharmacies, nursing homes, and public transport.

But although most of the restrictions will be lifted on “Freedom Day,” the unfamous mandatory vaccination policy will continue.

This means that though unvaccinated Austrians will again have access to venues they were previously barred from, they will still risk having to pay up to 3,600 euros ($4,108) every 3 months if they fail to be “fully vaccinated.” And, as of this September, that means a fourth dose.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
