Alberta’s Danielle Smith refuses to enforce Trudeau’s ‘unconstitutional’ net zero energy plan
‘Alberta’s government will protect Albertans from these unconstitutional federal net-zero regulations,” Premier Danielle Smith promised. ‘They will not be implemented in our province – period.’

CALGARY, Alberta (LifeSiteNews) — Alberta has promised to keep using natural resources while refusing to implement the Trudeau government’s “clean electricity” regulations.
On August 10, Alberta Premier Danielle Smith released a statement denouncing the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government’s “Clean Electricity Regulations” and promised never to enforce them in her province.

.
“The draft federal 2035 net-zero power grid regulations are unconstitutional, irresponsible and do not align with Alberta’s emissions reduction and energy development plan that works towards a carbon-neutral power grid by 2050,” she wrote.

Smith’s comments are in response to a drafted document outlining Canada’s plan to switch from natural resources such as oil and gas to “clean” alternatives like hydroelectric, nuclear, solar and wind by 2035. In the proposal, Minister of Natural Resources Jonathan Wilkinson suggested denying funds to provinces which refuse to stop using natural resources.
However, Smith stated that the proposed regulations “would endanger the reliability of Alberta’s power grid and cause massive increases in Albertans’ power bills.”
“Alberta’s government will protect Albertans from these unconstitutional federal net-zero regulations,” she promised. “They will not be implemented in our province – period.”
Smith remained hopeful that the regulations were only drafts and not yet finalized. She explained that Alberta is working with the federal government to discuss “how to bring Ottawa’s efforts to decarbonize the economy in line with Alberta’s Emissions Reduction and Energy Development Plan.”
However, Smith noted, “If this alignment is not achieved, Alberta will chart its own path to ensuring we have additional reliable and affordable electricity brought onto our power grid that is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.”
“Albertans and our government care deeply about responsible environmental stewardship. We are confident Alberta’s plan will get us to a reliable and affordable carbon-neutral power grid by 2050,” she added, calling on the federal government to support, not “hinder,” the province in doing so.
Ontario Liberal politicians have increasingly been pushing provinces to abandon their natural resources, despite warnings that this is impossible and will leave Canadians without power or heat.
Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe also denounced the proposed plan to move to “clean electricity,” promising to place Saskatchewan people first.
“Trudeau’s net-zero electricity regulations are unaffordable, unrealistic and unconstitutional,” he declared. “They will drive electricity rates through the roof and leave Saskatchewan with an unreliable power supply.”
“Our government will not let the federal government do that to Saskatchewan people,” Moe promised.

The Trudeau government’s current environmental goals – in lockstep with the United Nations’ “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” – include phasing out coal-fired power plants, reducing fertilizer usage, and curbing natural gas use over the coming decades.
The reduction and eventual elimination of the use of so-called “fossil-fuels” and a transition to unreliable “green” energy has also been pushed by the World Economic Forum (WEF) – the globalist group behind the socialist “Great Reset” agenda – an organization which Trudeau and some of his cabinet are involved.
While Trudeau’s plan has been pushed under the guise of “sustainability,” his intention to decrease nitrous oxide emissions by limiting the use of fertilizer has been criticized by farmers. They say this will reduce profits and could even lead to food shortages.
Moreover, experts are warning that the Trudeau government’s new “clean fuel” regulations, which come into effect next year, will cost Canadian workers – many of whom are already struggling under decades-high inflation rates – an average $1,277 extra annually.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)

So, why are you promoting the breakup of Canada and the USA?
Inspired by your little commie pal, Matthew J.L. Ehret?
Why are you kissing Danielle Smith’s backside over Net Zero when she’s fully collaborating with the WEF in the mass-murder by lethal injection project, refusing to abolish the injection mandates even if it KILLS transplant patients.
Has Danielle turfed “My Digital ID” for Alberta?
Will you research and report on this?
The Sheeple Peasants in Alberta need to support Smith first, and a Separatist Party next, and leave the dying nation of Soviet Canuckistan.
Yes we are, KMP. And with each mail, we know where it comes from. So we know when one single person is spamming us with numerous accounts.
Oh my, no one has commented yet!
What a surprise.
