Poland’s president-elect Nawrocki calls border situation with Germany ‘dire’

Poland to impose border checks with Germany, Lithuania

We imagine ‘temporary’ will become permanent —

Poland will introduce temporary controls on its borders with Germany and Lithuania as of July 7, Prime Minister Donald Tusk said Tuesday.

The move follows rising tension over illegal immigration within the European free travel zone.

Tusk warned Monday that his country would reimpose checks on the Polish-German border if it found that Germany was sending irregular migrants to Poland, Lithuanian media reported. He also said his country would take measures to prevent illegal border crossings from the Lithuanian side, as Poland had “a lot of effort, money, sweat and, unfortunately, some blood, to make the eastern border with Belarus airtight.”

We recently reported on a group of Polish citizens congregating at the German border in response to its police sending migrants into Poland. See —

The Dutch are also experiencing the same problems.

Now there is more reaction from the political class in Poland. Karol Nawrocki is the President-elect, with Duda still in the position until August 6.

Poland: Confederation leader visits border, slams government for allowing Germany to dump migrants

Of note:

On Monday, Deputy Marshal of the Sejm Krzysztof Bosak, together with Confederation MP Krzysztof Mulawa, visited the Commander of the Border Guard in Szczecin following a series of incidents involving the German police and a citizen’s patrol vowing to protect the border from illegal immigration.

After the meeting, the Confederation politician presented his conclusions, reports Do Rzeczy.

“1. The Border Guard does not want to say how many immigrants it has taken over from Germany. 2. Until Poland introduces border control, there is no formal possibility of stopping them. 3. There is a real, broad grassroots mobilization around Szczecin to detect and publicize the transport of immigrants from Germany. 4. The behavior of the Bundespolizei, the Border Guard, and the Police shows that the services are afraid of this pressure. 5. Nobody knows what the scale of the secret migration movement in both directions is; there is great chaos and information noise,” wrote Krzysztof Bosak on X.

Will this be the reason the Polish government under globalist Tusk (likely a 2.0) falls?

Poland’s president-elect Nawrocki calls border situation with Germany ‘dire’, criticizes Tusk for calling citizen concerns ‘hysteria’

“If citizens from the Border Defense Movement are making efforts to counteract illegal migration, it means that the situation is not under the control of the state authorities,” said Karol Nawrocki

REMIX NEWS

Incoming Polish President Karol Nawrocki told Polsat News the border with Germany is “leaky,” with residents complaining about the situation in Poland’s western regions, writes Do Rzeczy.

German police are actively transferring migrants to the country, and citizen patrols are being set up in border towns to protect Poland from illegal immigration, often resulting in clashes with German authorities.

“In my opinion, the situation is dire. I will not remain indifferent to it after Aug. 6. I will certainly convene the Cabinet Council. I will want to learn all the statistical data regarding illegal migrants,” announced the president-elect.

The situation is so worrisome that Nawrocki believes President Andrzej Duda may even convene the Cabinet Council earlier.

Polish services are not able to handle the incessant inflow of migrants from Germany, he says, and Poland should introduce border controls on its side.

Asked about the words of Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Minister of Interior and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak, who speak of “hysteria” regarding the border, Nawrocki replied that “Prime Minister Donald Tusk is a master at building and directing hysteria.”

“This is not hysteria. If during the six months of the election campaign, residents of towns in western Poland, such as Słubice, signalled to me such a thing that we are talking about today and which is unfortunately only gaining momentum,” he commented.

Noting that the situation is so out of control that local Poles are having to take action on their own, Nawrocki said, “If citizens from the Border Defense Movement are making efforts to counteract illegal migration (…), it means that the situation is not under the control of the state authorities today,” he argued.

The Tusk government, he added, is fully responsible for this situation. “There is no room for diplomacy here. I appeal to the Prime Minister (…) that this situation must be resolved,” said Nawrocki.

We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
