Behind the scenes, Trump has unveiled the Trump Doctrine – a seismic rewriting of US geopolitical grand strategy. It effectively ends the unipolar order under US domination since 1945. It’s a gamechanger. There are now 3 great powers: US, China and Russia. Europe? It will cease to be relevant in 20 years, their entire civilization is over. Which therefore means the death of NATO. Douglas McGregor: NATO is disintegrating. It’s a facade that it even exists.
What is Venezuela even about? Narco-terrorism? Oil? Maduro? No, it’s a lie. The real story is that China is deeply entwined in Venezuela, which is in America’s backyard. China has a huge presence in the region, so Russia is also asserting its presence there. ER: We don’t know if this is even the real story, as we don’t believe much of anything right now.
Morris references the Monroe Doctrine, a position the US took before WWII, which basically asserts that the US has territorial interests exclusive to itself in the western hemisphere; Europe is excluded from that, and was historically so by the Doctrine, which kept European colonial interests out of the Americas. By the same token, however, US interests today are therefore NO LONGER global.
China is no longer an enemy according to the Trump doctrine but simply an economic competitor. The US is done being the cop of the world. So each of the powers has its own territory, its own backyard that it’s responsible for. From global policeman to a continental superstate, which means inordinate opportunities at home in the development of the economy, industry and jobs. It’s a return to pre-WWII economic thinking, Fortress America. It’s a civilizational pivot. And Europe’s done. It becomes irrelevant (Morris specifies). Trump has actually put this in the policy paper – see below.

The Trump Doctrine is interesting for the heavy, interventionist hand taken toward failing Europe. As per MoA —

Frankly, with the way things stand here in Europe, we don’t feel we can argue with this. And where would the Neocons and Zionists (globalists) be in all of this? … Oh right, Trump’s a Zionist.
