ER Editor: We’ve heard that Matteo Salvini could be a white hat. We live in hope. Some tweets about this event which, like Tommy Robinson’s in London on Sept 13, has Charlie Kirk’s alleged death as an emotionally rallying point —
Translation:@J_Bardella: “Charlie Kirk has launched the message of courage. The courage to defend one’s ideas, the courage to tell the truth, the courage to love one’s Homeland, even when it bothers people. This is the courage that guides us in Pontida and across all of Europe. Today with all of you in Pontida, Europe is raising its head again”.

Italy: International Right Gathers for Global Event
Thousands of young activists attended the meeting in Pontida, where right-wing leaders from multiple countries pledged to defend borders and restore security.

On Sunday, September 21st, conservatives gathered in northern Italy to hear from international party leaders. Discussion topics included immigration, radical Islam, and the activist judiciary.
Thousands of young activists attended the annual event—hosted by Deputy Prime Minister Matteo Salvini’s Lega party—in the city of Pontida.
Several participants were seen wearing t-shirts depicting American conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Among the invitees was Jordan Bardella, leader of France’s National Rally, whom Salvini introduced as President Emmanuel “Macron’s nightmare.”
“In a curious paradox, Italy is today more stable than France,” where Macron is struggling to form a stable government, Bardella said in Italian, pledging to “restore security” and “defend borders.”
Bardella called the European Union a mad machine that is sidelining our farmers, our industries and our businesses.
Flávio Bolsonaro—son of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro—also attended, accusing judges of bullying the Right.
In a recorded video message, Santiago Abascal—leader of the Spanish party VOX—pledged a “Europe of sovereign peoples.”
Closing the event, Salvini reiterated his anti-war position—stating that “Italy would not send its sons to die in Ukraine.”
Salvini has repeatedly criticised Macron’s support for potentially sending troops to Ukraine as “security guarantees” for Kyiv against Russia.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
