ER Editor: This might all be a show, but it’s a critical move in the game, to end the ‘cordon sanitaires,’ so-called, against political parties that represent ordinary citizens.
For context, we’ve just had COP30 or FLOP30 in Brazil. This week’s EU Parliament vote is over exempting EVEN MORE European businesses from having to be accountable to idiotic green rules, a move that was proposed back in February of this year (see this Politico piece) which would have lightened the load on around 80% of businesses. Now more businesses are free of the ideological and economic shackles as a result of this week’s vote, which saw a coming together of centrist-globalist ‘Conservatives’ with their populist colleagues (source) —
BRUSSELS — Lawmakers in the European Parliament on Thursday agreed to exempt more companies from green reporting rules after the center-right, right-wing and far-right groups allied to pass the EU’s first omnibus simplification package.
The outcome illustrates the willingness of the center-right European People’s Party to abandon its traditional centrist allies and press ahead with the support of far-right groups to pass its deregulation agenda, setting a precedent for future lawmaking in Parliament for the rest of the mandate.
The far-right Patriots and Europe of Sovereign Nations groups voted in favor of the EPP’s changes, which were also backed by the right-wing European Conservatives and Reformists.
Has sanity returned, we wonder.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
