French National Assembly Adopts Euthanasia Law

One of the most fiercely contested elements of the new law is the criminalization of dissuading a person from euthanasia. “Preventing or attempting to prevent” a person from assisted suicide is now a crime in France, punishable by two years in prison and €30,000 in fines.
Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau voiced his outrage on social media, saying it crosses a “new line” that is “not acceptable”:
Reaching out to those who are suffering is the hallmark of humanity. Do we really want a society that condemns those who try to give a reason to live to those who no longer have any? This is going way too far. We cannot be guilty of compassion!

Macron praises the Freemasons for their influence in euthanasia movement
The result of Tuesday’s vote is not a given as all parties have given their members a free vote, but Macron’s open remarks on Freemasonry’s influence are a sign that there is plenty of pressure on the members of the French Parliament for them to go ahead in making access to “chosen death” a “right.” The bill’s official title, which was modified by an amendment Falorni himself presented when the text was adopted by a National Assembly commission prior to the current debate, makes this abundantly clear since it aims to create a “right to assisted death.”
The language of “rights” as opposed to that of commandments and prohibitions (such as “thou shalt not kill”) are typical of the Masonic mindset which is against any kind of dogma and thrives on “transgression.” It renders all radical opposition mute by claiming that opponents are free not to use such a right but should not prevent others from doing so.

French lawmakers pass assisted dying bill in historic first vote
The legislation must now be approved by the majority-conservative Senate.

PARIS — France took a major step toward legalizing assisted dying on Tuesday as a majority of members of parliament voted in favor of landmark legislation.
In the French lower house — the National Assembly — 305 MPs voted to pass a bill granting “a right to assistance in dying for adult patients afflicted with a serious illness who have requested it,” while 199 voted against.
