ER Editor: ‘Family voting’ has suddenly become a thing, a phenomenon that is not yet being declared a migrant family problem as such. The constituency of Gorton and Denton, in the once-industrial Greater Manchester area and only existing as a constituency since 2024, had a byelection yesterday after the incumbent Labour candidate pulled out claiming ill health. Although the area is a somewhat mixed bag, parts of it are considered very deprived economically (Wikipedia information), and it is clear that with a white population standing at 57% per a census 5 years ago, there are a lot of migrants in the area. In his coverage below the video, Peter Halligan gives us a breakdown of the ethnicities in the area, which puts the white population at just 51%.
Oddly, the vote went to the Greens(!) by a comfortable margin. Incumbent Labour came in third, with high-profile figure Andy Burnham having been pushed aside as a candidate by Labour main office; Reform UK second. Now, there are claims being widely made of ‘family voting’, that family members entered the polling booths to influence their relatives how to vote. Which is illegal. We’ll let this GB News video do the work here.
One of the commentators here refers to this phenomenon as women in families being told how to vote, noting the irony of the Greens vaunting their feminist credentials while relying on oppressed women to get into power. Not stupid. Further, footage shows how the Green party candidate, Hannah Spencer, has worked on the local Muslim/Pakistani population to get elected using Gaza to make her appeal.
There is a smell to this … a new constituency created in a highly Pakistani area; a Labour candidate who steps down, with Andy Burnham being denied the opportunity to run. Greens put their foot on the pedal and curiously succeed, obtaining an historic first. And now an existing cultural phenomenon finds its key moment to be revealed. During Ramadan 2026. That’s quite a lot of moving parts in our estimation.

The Islamification of the UK continues – Greens win a previously safe Labour stronghold seat in the UK Parliament by appealing solely to the Muslim family vote
Greens defeat UK Reform and Labour by large margins – Tories lose deposit!
Sectarianism breaks out in the latest UK Parliamentary by-election – a very high turnout of 47 per cent saw the Labour vote collapse.
From Brave AI:
“The Gorton and Denton by-election result, declared on February 27, 2026, marked a historic political upset.
“Hannah Spencer, the Green Party candidate, won the seat with 14,980 votes, defeating both Labour and Reform UK. This victory ended Labour’s nearly 100-year hold on the Greater Manchester constituency, which they had won in 2024 with a 13,413 majority. “
- “Reform UK’s Matt Goodwin came second with 10,578 votes.
- Labour’s Angeliki Stogia finished third with 9,364 votes, a significant drop from Labour’s previous performance.
- The Greens’ win is their first-ever parliamentary by-election victory, signaling a major shift in UK politics.
“The result has been described as a “seismic moment” and a “crushing vote of public confidence” in Keir Starmer’s leadership. Labour’s deputy leader, Lucy Powell, conceded that the Greens had “won the argument” over Reform UK’s influence, while Green Party leader Zack Polanski declared the party is now a permanent progressive force.
“The election also raised concerns about illegal family voting, with watchdog Democracy Volunteers reporting “unprecedented” levels of family voting across 15 of 22 monitored polling stations. Both the Green Party and Reform UK have called for transparency and possible investigations.
The Greens campaigned directly for the Musim vote (in Irdu) and it appears that Muslims turned out in their droves to vote for the Greens.
In case you are interested, the Conservative Party was annihilated.
“The party’s share of the vote fell to 1.9%, well below the 5% threshold required to retain the deposit. This marked a significant decline from their 7.9% in the 2024 general election and reflected the broader trend of the Conservative Party’s diminishing presence in this traditionally Labour-held constituency.
The Conservative Party received 706 votes in the Gorton and Denton by-election, representing 1.9% of the total vote share.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
