ER Editor: Apologies for the volume of Italian in this short piece below, which comes via a French site from the Italian ministry of the interior.
A reminder: do our governments tell the truth? Can we take these numbers from the Italian government as telling the whole immigration story? Likely not.
First, a few enlightening tweets —

So much for Giorgia Meloni being any different:

(Italy #Lampedusa) Criminal migrants have turned the southern Italian island of Lampedusa into a hellscape, ie a reflection of their homelands. According to @LeChevalier8888 “Ethnic violence [breaks out] between sudaneses and ivorians.”

Migrant refuses to get off the train in Italy despite refusing to pay for a ticket. He claims he doesn’t have any money so he thinks he gets to ride free. That’s not how anything works. pic.twitter.com/lG0cgDZiBs

Totally overrun and invaded by Albanian migrants. Here they are dominating the steps of the historic Duomo cathedral. #TheGreatReplacement pic.twitter.com/Lcxlv5gHuk— Britain First (@BFirstParty) August 25, 2023
Italian PM Meloni made an electoral pledge to curb illegal immigration. But Italy’s interior ministry reported 101,386 migrant entries this year, nearly DOUBLE the number for the same period in 2022. Meloni’s rhetoric is one thing. The reality is another.https://t.co/WsZJ5NBQVW

This is how NGO ships work with migrant smugglers:
– ‘Open Arms’ ship left Italy last week
– Circled near Libyan waters
– Waited for migrants in boats and picked them up
– Then sailed to to Italy with 500 peopleThe scheme is known, but is tolerated for some reason. pic.twitter.com/yaYMWa19R3

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
