Calgary Police Arrest Fairview Baptist Church Pastor Tim Stephens [VIDEO]

ER Editor: As of yesterday, a THIRD Alberta pastor has been arrested, to be thrown in jail for a jumped-up ‘offense’ that doesn’t exist in law. Outspoken pastor Artur Pawlewski was similarly arrested along with his brother and held in jail in somewhat hostile conditions until he had to be released. See RAW: Pastor Artur Pawlowski speaks after release from jail.

To recap, Pastor James Coates was put under surveillance for quite some time before his arrest. Then it was Artur Pawlowski‘s turn. Now it’s Pastor Tim Stephens’ (see featured image above) turn to be arrested, in front of his young family.

Here is Rebel News‘ take on the situation re. Stephens in an e-mail story notification yesterday:

Pastor Tim’s crime was that he led church services. Except that’s not a crime, even under pandemic laws. And the punishment for it does not include jail time. But he’s in jail anyways, just like Pastor James Coates was thrown in jail and Pastor Artur Pawlowski was thrown in jail.

Costco and Walmart are packed. Police don’t arrest them — they help direct traffic in their overflowing parking lots.

NHL hockey teams can meet — and their entire entourage is exempt from the lockdowns. They can even go out to restaurants that are closed to the rest of us.

But not Christian pastors. In Alberta, there is a special ban that singles out churches and gives them fewer rights than businesses like liquor stores.

There is no other jurisdiction in the world that has thrown Christian priests or pastors in jail for holding religious services during the pandemic. Not even China or Iran has done so.

But Alberta has now done so, three times. Alberta, that used to be known as the freest province in Canada, whose motto is “Strong and Free”, and whose premier, Jason Kenney, used to condemn other countries for persecuting Christians.

This is a disgrace and a civil liberties emergency.

BREAKING: Calgary police arrest Fairview Baptist Church pastor Tim Stephens

REBEL NEWS

Pastor Tim Stephens of Fairview Baptist Church in Calgary has been under police and Alberta Health Services surveillance for months because he refuses to limit his congregation and force them into masks. In our previous visits to the church, Alberta Health Services and the Calgary police and bylaw can be seen interrupting church services.

Stephens has been ticketed in the past for violating public health orders and is represented by the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms. Last week, there was a heavy police presence at his church — just one day after Pastor Artur Pawlowski was taken into custody for breaching the restraining order Alberta Health Services got against unnamed Jane and John Does for organizing non-compliant illegal public gatherings.

Today, after services at Fairview Baptist, Calgary police came to Tim’s church and arrested him in front of his wife and crying children. Police would not tell Rebel News’ Kian “K2” Simone why they were detaining him. The restraining order that led to the arrest of Pastor Artur has since been amended to only apply to the named parties in the order — Chris Scott of the Whistle Stop Cafe and Glen Caritt of United We Roll.

As of now, it’s not known why or where Stephens has been taken.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
